My Passion for Photography and Graphic Design
These are some of my demo photos.
This was a requested design from someone by the name of Richard Lazarus. He seems relatively interested in fire, and appears to already have their movie made. He gave me access to some of the film's footage, and told me to go for a more dramatic scene. He specifically stated that a dramatic poster can make all the difference of how the audience will get dragged in.
This was a tough one to do. I took a picture of myself and uploaded it onto a site called Gravit. Gravit is a site that allows me to edit and create designs like a drawing app, with bonus features that involve photoshop. I enjoy how I had to be creative with designing myself through the use of only one photo, but I dislike how complex the hair was on my design.
When making this advertisement, I began to experiment with rasterizing masks. Using a photo of a mountain range the commissioner had also taken, I requested permission to also use it in this ad. They accepted, and I was able to have it be used as a little neat shot on their own head. "Embrace the wild" was the slogan we chose, because when I sent the demo to them, they thought that it was like the wilderness was born in the person in the shot. With that, this ad was made.
This one was not a commission, but rather a little challenge I took on my own. I wanted to experiment further with rasterizing masks to put hobbies people have on their faces to make a neat effect. I took my dad and took his passion for hockey, asking for an image of him playing (He is on the left side) Unfortunately, the problem was that I had to find a way for the image of him playing hockey to match the tone of his skin, which was really challenging. Although, I managed to pull it off!
Who are they? Well, they're all me! Through shading and the use of refining the edges of each layer, I managed to make it so all of the images of me blended in perfectly! There was some troubles in balancing colours, and it was simply just me learning all the way through.
